Alright so its time for the first new post since Christmas.
The first post of 2012!!
Its gonna be huge!
Whoohoo!!!
And!!
Um...
well?
huh?
I guess I don't have really anything specific to talk about.....
I've just been too busy playing that Words With Friends game ... you know that Scrabble knock off game that you can play on your phone with your friends....
Which is crazy addictive.... and absolute proof that there is nothing more fun that playing board games with friends and family....
(when they are absolutely nowhere near you!)
Why you ask?
Cause sometimes it can just get a little awkward playing with family? |
Whatever!
Sure that is definitely awkward......
But trust me..... nowhere near as sad or awkward as when someone actually DIES playing Scrabble during a family board game!
Like this guy did.....
And was remembered.... with a triple word score? |
But what else is going on?
Hmm...
Well you know...... I did notice something this New Years Eve!
An alarmingly growing.... and frequently DANGEROUS trend....
Called...... Sparkly ladies clothing!!!!
This stuff..... |
Woman everywhere..... getting all dressed up shiny ......
Kinda like a "fun" disco ball.... for a night out on the town........ |
Which I am all for! It often looks great!
However...... this year I noticed....
Women wearing even more and more glitter!!!
And more and more sequins!!!!
And occasionally I swear..... even just plain broken glass?
Which come on!! That's just plain irresponsible and dangerous !!! |
And you know.... sometimes a little can go a long way too...
For example..... For every couple of gals that look like this... all sparkled up....
And nice..... |
Is someone else looking like this.....
Ruining the whole look for everyone! |
But lets get back to my main point.....
Cause I did say this clothing was dangerous...
Well it is...
Cause every once in a while...
And under the right light.....
This look can be freeking blinding!!! |
And especially..... for drivers....
when a bunch of sparkly ladies are crossing the street...
.... all together! |
So... sparkle responsibly everybody!
Happy New Years!
And blog ya'll later.
why do I have a feeling you like wearing sparkly things yourself, Steve?
ReplyDeleteAww that scrabble game looks fun - I love scrabble lol!
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right, a lot of ladies wore a lot of sequins/glitter this year lol!
So my pink sequined thong is still in this year then?
ReplyDeleteBody glitter, too!
ReplyDeleteAnd how about a bedazzled Scrabble board with jeweled letter tiles?
;)
Loved the Scrabble headstone. If it weren't for sparkly suits, there wouldn't be roller disco. The sparkly dress trend is like the lady version of Ed Hardy clothes, a way to say "look at me, look at me, acknowledge me!" through your clothes.
ReplyDeleteSo you sparkle when you play the scrabble rip off game, good to know.
ReplyDeleteMay the force be with you? Freakin awesome.
ReplyDeleteMy GF was playing words with friends against her entire family the other day. My mind was blown.
ReplyDeleteReading between the lines, I would say that you have a hankering to wear something sparkly yourself . . . am I right? Be honest!
ReplyDeleteMethinks you're complaining too much. How about a photographic tour of your closet to see what's sparkling?
ReplyDeleteI am going to have nightmares of that sequin jumpsuit...and David Bowie will probably be wearing it.
ReplyDeleteVery cool blog :) I play words with friends all the time with my gf but I always let her win :P
ReplyDeleteSince you play "Words With Friends" you might like to visit my blog to try my TV trivia anagram game. Have a happy new year.
ReplyDeleteLeona
I don't know who told that woman she looked good in that outfit, but whoever they are, they should be slapped. I will never play scrabble with a family member again. You've scarred me for life.
ReplyDeleteOn the Food Network, there's this edible glitter. It's for frosting and stuff. They should just use that. And, as you say, there will always be somebody going overboard with it. Ruining it for everyone.
ReplyDeleteI did wear sparkles on my fingernails for New Years Eve at the casino. I love playing Scrabble.
ReplyDeleteI love Words with Friends.
ReplyDeleteI just received a sparkly dress from a kinda friend!!! That bitch! :p
ReplyDeleteI've naver played that game. :/
ReplyDeleteAll these addictions to start the new year, sounds fun to me! I say vodka soda for $200!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of that disco ball lady. The things that people come up with, right? And as for scrabble, well, all you need is the right kind of furniture, Steve... http://rcbenglishclass.blogspot.com/2011/06/scrabble-furniture.html
ReplyDeleteAnyhooters (a word I've been using all morning after stealing it for Angie), promise you'll surprise us with more funny pics before we all go down together!
That bloody game won't load for me.......
ReplyDeleteWow. What a hilarious blog. Love it.
ReplyDeleteI'm just stopping by from Alex's blog, and am now your newest follower, so:
Nice to meet you, Steve!
Happy sparkly new year to you too! I am all about some bling, but that stuff looks a little OTT. Is the goal to sparkle so much that it hides your flaws because no one knows where to look?
ReplyDeleteThat one shouldered whatever it was was just wrong- on so many levels. EWWWWWW.....
ReplyDeleteI wish I knew they actually made sequin onesies ... my Christmas list would have looked a WHOLE lot different
ReplyDelete- Ash
You haven't lived until you've slipped into a glittering, leopard print thong, Steve.
ReplyDeleteDid this trend start with the douchey glitter vampires in Twilight? If so, add it to Stephenie Meyer's running fuckwit tab.
ReplyDeleteLOL Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI found you from Alex's blog and am now your newest follower. Nice to "meet" you!
How strange...I just played a word on words with friends right before I viewed this post!
ReplyDeleteAnd I for one, am not for shiny clothes!
